About Ground Designs
My name is Tom Ground and I qualified as a chartered architect in 1998 in Leeds. On my return to my Norfolk roots, I went on to work for two eminent Norwich practices, where I gained valuable specialist experience in conservation and commercial architecture.
In 2000, I was approached by CAM Architects, a well-established practice in Norwich and was offered a partnership. My work in the fields of commercial and conservation helped to expand and develop CAM’s reputation.
After twelve years as a Director, I decided to specialise and work closer to home with a new practice. I formed Ground Designs (Norfolk) Ltd in 2012, along with my wife, Anna, to serve clients across North Norfolk.
My hands-on approach and passion for sustainability brings a somewhat unique perspective to each project, producing architecture that not only demonstrates my professional experience, but often exceeds my client’s expectations.

I look forward to hearing about your project.

Giving back
Each year, I try to ensure that one project is completed on a no fee basis for a worthy local cause. Recent projects have included a skate park, outdoor gym, football clubhouse, church re-wiring, scout hut and MUGA (multi use games area).
